After many years of working in both boarding kennels & grooming salons I decided to open my own dog grooming salon. Rosie's Grooming Room is a small salon run from my home in Yarpole, near both Leominster and Ludlow. I am professionally trained and hold my City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma for Professional Dog Stylists. I pride myself on providing a kind and caring service where the welfare of your dog always comes first.
Dogs are groomed on an individual basis and there is a garden area available. This helps to ensure the minimum of stress for your dog during their visit. All dogs are health checked before the groom commences and any concerns discussed with you. I will talk through your exact requirements, taking into account the dog's lifestyle, skin condition, health and current condition of coat before a style is chosen. Each dog is dried by hand after the bath, using a combination of a high velocity and a warm air dryer. I do not use any cage dryers. Should a dog become very stressed during grooming I will recommend smaller, more frequent sessions to allow your dog to adjust.
Regular grooming is very important for the health and wellbeing of any dog and is essential in maintaining hygiene and comfort. Most breeds will require full grooming about once every four to six weeks. Dogs groomed regularly will find the process far less stressful as it is an easier process and they will be comfortable in their environment. Dogs can be groomed either to breed standard or to suit the individual requirements of the client. A free consultation is offered to all new clients, as I believe it is more important to provide a service the client is happy with, rather than what the groomer thinks is right.
I would recommend introducing your puppy to grooming as soon as possible so it becomes part of their normal routine. I offer special puppy introductory sessions starting with just a short visit to introduce puppy to the salon. Please contact me for more details.
In order to give your dog individual attention, I run a strict appointment system. I would ask all clients to stick to their agreed drop off and collection times in order I can give all the dogs the appropriate attention required. Late collections may incur an additional charge. Please give a minimum of 24 hours notice should you wish to change your appointment.
As a member of ICMG UK I subscribe to a strict Code of Ethics. More information can be found at IPG-United-Kingdom.. I am fully insured for all dogs in my care and have completed an OCN Level 3 accredited animal first aid course.
City & Guilds and ICMG are the only dog grooming qualifications recognised by the Industry.
Please call me with any questions you have or to make an appointment.
